Appointments

Morning Surgeries: These are open access. Patients presenting from 8.30am to 9.30am will be seen that morning. Patients presenting after that time will be seen within 24 hours.

Afternoon and Evening Surgeries: These are by appointment only. Appointments can be made by telephone during opening hours or by attending the Health Centre. Most surgeries are fully booked for that day by lunch-time, so it is helpful if patients can book their consultation in advance. Every effort will be made to accommodate our patients' requests.

Out of Hours

The Borders Doctors Out of Hours Cooperative (BORDOC), provides medical care from 6.00pm to 8.00am on weekdays, and at weekends from 12.00pm (noon) on Saturday to 8.00am on Monday. Patients needing urgent casualty treatment when the Health Centre is closed should attend the Borders General Hospital. The nurse only Minor Injury Unit at the Sister Margaret Cottage Hospital at Castlegate, Jedburgh can assist with dressings or minor injuries i.e. grazes, stings, and minor cuts. (Ref: 197)
