Having just celebrated its 150th anniversary, the band is in fine form. It has 2 contesting bands (2nd Section and 4th Section). It was Scottish Band of the Year in 2004, and is currently no 220 in the World Rankings

Jedburgh Royal British Legion Pipe Band was formed in 1943 and is currently led by Pipe Major Alastair Currie. The band - in their Seaforth Mackenzie tartan kilts, tartan plaids and tartan hose with a black doublet with silver braiding, and Glengarry head dress with red/blue plume - has played all over the world including Italy, Spain, France - and even the Bahamas in 1992 for the Quincentennial Celebrations of Columbus discovering the islands in 1492.
